I was wondering if anyone has used this plug to clean up their individual tracks before mixing them and found a great improvement. Specifically vocals.

I had seen your earlier post about this, and that someone recommended RX. RX is fabulous at what it does. The most powerful tool I have seen/used for dealing with noise issues and other tasks. Depending on what exactly you are trying to accomplish, though, it may not be exactly the kind of thing you need. As Julia asks, exactly what do you mean by cleanup?

Thanks for the replies. Mainly, I'm looking to get rid of air conditioning hum and audio leakage from the headphones when the vocalists were tracking their parts.

Here is a suggestion AKG k 271 mk ii Headphones and Turn AC Off During Tracking. You may also want to use a noise gate. It is much easier to stop the noise at its source then to try and remove it from a recorded track.

The problem with the headphones is that a lot of my singers give a better performance and sing more in tune when they keep one ear unconvered. I tell them to press the lose headphone pad against the side of their head, but I still get some leakage. I also turn off the AC as much as possible, but I've found that an uncomfortable singer doesn't perform as well as as comfortable one. Noise gates are fine, but I wanted to see if there was something better for a situation like this.
The background noise doesn't cause a big problem for me, I just wanted to see if I could make my mixes sound even cleaner and clearer.
Edit: I think they have a demo, so I'll try that. But I'm still open to any comments or suggestions.

How far away from the mic are your singers positioned when they are singing on average in inches from pop filter.

I'm the one who hinted you to try ISOtopeRX. However you could try this one instead. It's free but not as fancy.
Under 'Effect' you have a few fix-tools to choose from.

Easy solution - Pan the monitor mix so that only one headphone can is getting the audio, leaving the other one silent.

This makes me feel kind of stupid. Thanks, great idea.

A couple of you have mentioned an earlier post that I made about this subject, but I don't remember doing so. Are you all accidently thinking of someone else, or have I temporarily lost my marbles? (I can feel the jokes coming off of this question.)

best option however would be to leave that AC hum out of the recording at first
Sure it isn't possible to turn off while recording?
Now that you have a solution for the leakage, you will notice that hum even more.

Position them 8'-12' away from pop filter if needed bring up input levels on mic pre. Place a music stand or something between them and the mic as a refrence point for them or even a strip of tape on the floor. If using a music stand place a piece of carpet on it to absorbe and prevent reflections of sound. Decrease the headphone volume as much as you can keeping it just loud enough they can hear without any problems. Explain to them before starting a project that sacrifices may have to be made on there behalf. They have obligations as singers to learn proper mic technique.

Izotope Rx Sweetwater Georgia

The iZotope RX Suite was an absolute lifesaver — their whole suite of audio correction tools. If there was constant room noise, I could find it and eliminate it. On some of the tracks where there was a room ringing or resonance, I had to go in and find the frequencies that were popping out and do some heavy lifting with RX. After removing your authorization, RX 5 Audio Editor’s authorization screen will pop up when you restart the program. Now you can re-authorize using a new serial number. You may also remove your authorization at any time in order to run in Trial or Demo mode. How to contact iZotope Customer Care. For additional help with authorizing RX 5. Sweetwater.com is open and accepting online orders, but like most retailers, our shipping is slower than normal. For the safety of our warehouse team, we are running at reduced capacity, but we hope to be back to normal shipping by early to mid-April. Jan 24, 2020  iZotope RX is a very powerful application designed to help its users repair audio files. This program offers an impressive amount of handy functions like denoise, spectral repair, remove hum, declip, etc. Moreover, the application provides multiple selection methods, thus helping you process only the song fragments that you are interested in. The latest version of iZotope’s best-selling restoration software adds powerful new modules, as well as a Post Production Suite bundle aimed at film and TV applications. It seems that along with Christmas, another regular annual event we can rely upon is a new version of iZotope’s RX Audio Editor software.
